Burberry
Burberry was founded by Thomas Burberry in Basingstoke, England in 1856 and invented gabardine, the weatherproof fabric of its trench coat. The Equestrian Knight and the Burberry Check are its signatures; the 2023 identity under Daniel Lee restored a serif wordmark and the knight to the centre of the brand.
