BrandSweets publishes brand pages that describe how public brands look: their colours, typefaces, logo files and usage rules. The brands are not ours. This page says what we do with them and how to get something corrected or taken down.
1. Whose marks these are
Every brand name, logo, wordmark, symbol and trademark shown on BrandSweets is the property of its respective owner. We claim no rights in them. Colour values, typeface names and factual descriptions of a public identity are stated as facts about that identity.
2. Why we show them (nominative use)
We use a brand's name and marks to identify that brand — you cannot describe how Spotify's green is used without saying “Spotify” and showing the mark it appears on. We show no more of a mark than identification requires, we do not alter marks to suggest a relationship, and nothing on the page implies that the owner sponsors, endorses, is affiliated with, or has reviewed BrandSweets. We are not affiliated with any of the brands in the directory.
3. Where the assets come from, and what we host
Brand pages are assembled automatically from a brand's own public website and, where they exist, its published brand guidelines. Most logo files are referenced at the brand's own URL. Some are copied to our storage so the page renders reliably, and a few single-colour or symbol-only variants are generated from a brand's own file so the page can show a mark on a dark background.
Automatic extraction gets things wrong. It can pick up a favicon, an interface icon, or an unrelated image and label it as a logo. When we find such a page we correct it or remove the asset. If you find one, tell us — see below.
4. Request a correction or removal
If you are the owner of a brand shown here, or you are authorised to act for the owner, email legal@brandsweets.com. Please include:
- the page URL (for example
brandsweets.com/b/example-com); - what is wrong, or what you want removed;
- the mark or work involved, and your relationship to the owner;
- a reply address we can reach you at.
We aim to acknowledge within five business days. We will correct a factual error, replace a wrong asset, or remove the page — a removal request from a verified owner is honoured; we will not argue about whether the use is permissible. Removed pages are also dropped from the sitemap and from the agent-readable exports.
5. Copyright complaints (DMCA)
To report material you believe infringes your copyright, send the same address a notice that identifies the copyrighted work, identifies the material and its URL, gives your contact details, and states that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law, and that the information in the notice is accurate and — under penalty of perjury — that you are authorised to act for the owner. We remove or disable material in response to valid notices and terminate repeat infringers. If you believe material was removed in error, you may send a counter-notice with the equivalent information.
6. Your own brand
Content you create in BrandSweets stays yours. This page is about the public directory of brands we do not own. See the Terms for the rest.
